Tim & Carole Casey

Tim is one of a very few number of people in England making stemware or functional tableware in glass completely by hand. From their workshop in Nancledra, near Penzance, Tim and Carole work with a special high grade glass; the materials come from Sweden and the finished quality is very similar to lead crystal, with a brightness and clarity developed to imitate 24% lead glass.

It takes two people to make every piece, working in unison with the molten glass to produce each finished glass. Each item carries colour in rims or in the body of the work, and the light play with the clear glass sections is subtly enhanced by the shaping of the insides of the glasses to produce an elegant, clean beauty with the delight of colour to enhance the work.

Fay Page

Fay and Rob Page live on the little island of St. Martin’s in the Isles of Scilly. With a workshop right by the sea, their work is clearly influenced by their surroundings.

Shells, fish, flowers and boats find expression in their beautiful work, reflecting the island they call home.

paula_profile

Paula Gray

Paula lives and works in the village of Lizard, the southern most village in England, on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula. Paula hand throws all of her work in the pottery, and each piece is hand painted using her ‘sea washed’ glazes, then fired twice to create distinctly Cornish tableware using blues, turquoises and greens in stripes against matte white backgrounds.

The whiteness of the clay body comes exclusively from Cornish kaolin extracted from St Austell in Cornwall, the only deposit of kaolin in the UK. Inspired by the shapes and colours of lighthouses, fishing buoys and coastal villages, her work is infused with the colour, vitality and form of her living and working ecology.

We’re still carefully adding products to Paula’s section of our website. Please check back soon!
