A ‘Sprats’ fish print from St. Martin’s Toby Tobin-Dougan, reprinted on table coasters.
Using a traditional Japanese printing method of rubbing inked fish with handmade rice paper, called ‘Gyotaku’, this was a means for recording trophy catches before they were sold for consumption. It was also a means of recording revered fish which were then cleaned of the non-toxic ink, before being released alive back into the sea.
Superior quality, cork-backed square coasters with a wipeable surface.
Size: 10cm x 10cm
